We are proud to announce that we have begun taking steps to create the Kristina Chesterman Memorial Foundation. We have several goals that we will be pursuing including sponsoring young people for Doctors Without Borders missions, drunk driving awareness, and promoting safer bike paths in college areas in order to prevent these senseless tragedies. We will keep this site updated frequently with our progress and any updates. Thank you so much.
Being a nurse was only a start for our daughter and sister. Kristina was dedicated to helping those who needed help most. As soon as she graduated from nursing school she was determined to join Doctors Without Borders to help the victims in wartorn and poverty stricken regions of the world. The amazing generosity of hundreds of people have already helped us raise over $20,000 for this world class organization.
To build a clinic in Ozu Abam, Nigeria in order to honor the hopes and aspirations of Kristina, who dreamed of someday helping to change the world by providing nursing care for patients residing in medically under-served areas of rural Africa.
We have started the Kristina Chesterman Memorial Nursing Scholarship at CSU, Chico. We are so grateful that the endowment has already raised over $40,000. Kristina was so happy the day she was big enough to donate blood for others. She was not content with only donating blood but became an organ donor and helped change the lives of others until the very end. Please help to remember her spirit by finding a blood drive near you.
